Team RWB's mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
Team Red, White & Blue insists that all veterans have the opportunity to reclaim what was most precious about their military service: an unwavering sense of belonging born of challenges that show us what each of us is capable of. Together we strive to make tomorrow better. Together, we will find strength and success.
At Team RWB we know that Veterans face many transition challenges, however joining Team RWB provides them a sense of belonging and purpose and leads to Enrichment through increased physical, mental and emotional health. (2018 Annual Report)
Veterans tell us in no uncertain terms: what they miss most about active duty is brotherhood, connection, closeness, living in the moment. Feeling part of something bigger than themselves. Being a member of an unbreakable team. How did they get there? By training hard — together. By overcoming odds — together. By fighting for something — together. Team RWB offers veterans a chance to find some of that experience at home.
For too many of our nation’s veterans and their families, their transition out of the military is filled with isolation, stress and unhealthy activities. Additionally, only 7% of the U.S. population has served in the military. Veterans are returning to a society that doesn’t understand their military experience and feels more unhappy, disconnected, and more misunderstood than ever.
Team RWB counters the effects of isolation and misunderstanding by bringing veterans a sense of belonging through physical fitness, community and relationship building. We positively impact lives by increasing physical, emotional and mental health.
